OneSource Virtual is seeking a Garnishment Specialist I to ensure accurate and timely wage garnishment payments for our customers. This role focuses on successful process automation and resolving automation failures, with attention to deadlines and legal order analysis.

The position involves limited direct phone interactions with garnishment agencies and demands strong detail orientation and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of payroll functions including withholding rules and garnishments.
• Proficient in spreadsheet applications and report writing.
• Ability to analyze legal orders and apply state garnishment rules.

Responsibilities

• Review and set up garnishment orders and prepare related correspondence.
• Maintain garnishment rules in payroll system and test with specialists.
• Write and process reports to automate letters and responses.
• Enter start/stop dates for orders and respect deadlines.
• Answer payroll and garnishment questions for courts, agencies, and employees.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to resolve issues.
• Process lump sum payments and determine withholdings for bonuses.
• Participate in special projects such as reconciliations and cross training.
