Job summary

Fresh Prints, an NYC-based custom apparel company, is seeking a detail-oriented Sewing Pattern Maker to support our supplier network. You will translate designs, technical specs, measurements, and approved samples into production-ready sewing patterns, collaborating with design, sourcing, and overseas manufacturers to ensure fit and construction accuracy.

Role offers full-time remote work from assigned time zones, with a focus on pattern development across diverse fabrics and sizes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of garment pattern making experience.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, measurements, and grading.
• Experience creating production-ready patterns.
• Proficient in CAD pattern software (Gerber AccuMark, Lectra, Optitex).
• Experience with pattern grading and digital pattern modification.
• Experience with women streetwear is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate, production-ready sewing patterns based on technical specifications, measurements, design references, technical drawings, and approved samples.
• Create and maintain pattern grading across required size ranges, ensuring consistent and proportional fit.
• Review samples and fitting results and make pattern adjustments to address fit, measurement, and construction issues.
• Apply knowledge of different fabric types to ensure patterns are suitable for the intended fabric and construction.
• Collaborate with internal teams and manufacturers to troubleshoot pattern, fit, sewing, and construction issues during sampling and production.
• Interpret technical packs, measurement specifications, construction details, sketches, and approved samples into production-ready patterns.
• Maintain accurate pattern files, revisions, measurements, and technical documentation.
