SNI Financial is seeking a detail-oriented Fund Accountant to support private equity and alternative investment funds. You will prepare and review accounting entries, monitor investment activity, and produce financial statements and investor reporting.

The role emphasizes GAAP understanding, advanced Excel, and coordination with external auditors. The position offers a remote-first environment with occasional client meetings, training sessions, and team events.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in private equity, hedge fund, or alternative investment fund accounting.
• Experience with Investran, advanced Microsoft Excel, and a strong understanding of GAAP, fund accounting, capital activity, management fees, and fund operations.
• Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Thrives in a collaborative, remote-first environment while building strong relationships with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review accounting entries for private investment funds using cash and accrual accounting.
• Monitor investment activity and prepare investment roll-forwards.
• Perform cash reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Calculate and review management fees, allocations, and carried interest calculations.
• Prepare financial statements, investor reporting packages, partner communications, and tax support schedules.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party service providers.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring junior team members.
• Deliver exceptional client service while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
