Job summary

Ports North seeks a senior Fullstack Java Developer to design and implement enterprise-scale applications using Java/Spring Boot and React. You will architect cloud-native microservices on Azure, lead AI/ML integrations, and ensure secure, scalable delivery with CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.

You will mentor teams, drive API strategy, and collaborate with product, UX, and security stakeholders to align with business goals. Remote work is supported for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise applications.
• 8+ years with Java and Spring Boot, including microservices architectures.
• 8+ years of experience with React and modern front-end architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead enterprise-scale applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and Node.js.
• Define scalable microservices architectures for media processing, AI-driven workflows, and real-time integrations.
• Lead ingestion, processing, and storage for video, audio, image, and document data.
• Develop integrations with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Speech, and AI/ML services for transcription and data extraction.
• Design secure, cloud-native solutions on Azure with Kubernetes, App Services, and containerized workloads.
• Establish architecture standards, design patterns, and best practices for security and reliability.
• Drive API strategy for RESTful and event-driven integrations across platforms.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to multiple teams.
