Job summary

Koalafi is seeking Software Engineers to design, build, and scale backend services and customer-facing apps. You’ll work with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions across a modern tech stack.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of software engineering experience, strong Golang skills, and familiarity with AWS/Kubernetes, React/TypeScript, REST APIs, and CI/CD practices. Remote-friendly US-based roles welcome qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building backend services using Golang.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP/JSON, authentication mechanisms, and API testing tools.
• Experience developing web applications using modern frontend frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerized environments, preferably AWS and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
• Ability to navigate existing codebases and contribute to both new and established systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Desire to learn, grow, and take ownership of technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Build integrations with internal and third-party systems.
• Contribute to customer-facing applications and internal tools using modern frontend technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in distributed systems design and event-driven architectures.
