Qualifications

• Proficient full-stack engineering skills across React Native, Python, and AWS environments.
• Experience working with AI tooling, with the ability to critically evaluate outputs.
• Strong version control discipline and understanding of documentation and traceability in regulated medical software development.
• Ability to work independently, managing scope and timelines effectively.
• Curiosity and willingness to engage with scientific and clinical contexts behind product features.
• Proven track record of shipping and maintaining mobile applications through app-store release processes.
• Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and assistive technology testing.
• Engineering experience in HIPAA/privacy-sensitive environments, including data boundaries and audit logging.
• Expertise in modern authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and operational management of deployed systems.
• No neuroscience, EEG, regulatory credentials, or clinical training are required; a willingness to learn and understand the domain is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver new features across mobile, web, and backend platforms from scoped requirements to production-ready releases.
• Modernize existing codebases by updating runtimes, frameworks, and platform targets, ensuring ongoing compatibility and performance.
• Implement and verify accessibility features in compliance with WCAG 2.1 using real assistive technologies.
• Manage authentication, identity provider integrations, and data protection measures to maintain PHI boundaries and regulatory compliance.
• Define and maintain AWS infrastructure as code, along with build, test, and release automation processes.
• Enhance and maintain comprehensive documentation for all systems, improving knowledge transfer and traceability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinicians, researchers, and regulatory advisors to align development with scientific goals and user needs.
