Job summary

Lightning Labs is hiring a full-stack engineer to build Terminal Web, a Next.js/TypeScript application used by node operators to manage liquidity, channels, and balances. You’ll own UI, API integration, and testing across the stack in a remote-first setup.

You’ll work with LND, litd, and related services, applying AI-native tooling in daily workflow while shipping secure, reliable software for a global Bitcoin ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to ship production-quality software.
• Strong TypeScript and React experience with modern full-stack web app architecture.
• Experience with SSR, API clients, browser storage, and state management.
• Familiarity with AI-native development tools in daily workflows.
• Ability to turn ambiguous product requirements into working software independently.
• Good engineering practices: testing, code reviews, documentation, debugging.

Responsibilities

• Ship end-to-end features in Terminal Web for node operators.
• Build across the full stack: Next.js SSR, React components, MobX, Emotion, data services, REST APIs.
• Own integrations with Lightning infrastructure (LND, litd, Loop, Taproot Assets).
• Write production-grade tests with Jest and Playwright.
• Work autonomously, aligning with product and engineering priorities.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate exploration, implementation, and documentation.
