GET On Tarmack is seeking a hands-on Full Stack Developer with strong backend expertise in Python, Django, Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL, Redis, and REST APIs, plus frontend work with React and TypeScript. The ideal candidate owns features end-to-end, troubleshoots production issues, and builds secure, scalable applications.

The role requires designing and maintaining backend services, processing data workflows, integrating external APIs, and supporting deployments in a remote US night shift

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Python, Django, Django REST Framework, REST APIs, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Good understanding of backend architecture, authentication/authorization, RBAC, API integrations, error handling, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with Redis, Celery, or similar background-processing frameworks.
• Experience with scheduled jobs, asynchronous processing, and data/file-intensive workflows.
• Knowledge of Docker, Git, CI/CD, Linux/server troubleshooting, and production debugging.
• Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills; able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
• Build data-processing workflows using PostgreSQL, Redis, Celery, async jobs, and file processing.
• Integrate applications with external and internal APIs.
• Troubleshoot production issues across APIs, databases, background jobs, Docker, Linux, authentication, and AWS infrastructure.
• Optimize database queries, API response times, performance, scalability, logging, and error handling.
• Collaborate with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript to connect frontend workflows with backend APIs.
• Work with AWS services including Cognito, S3, EC2, ECR, ECS, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, releases, and post-production monitoring.
• Own features from requirements and technical design through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Understand existing codebases, diagnose defects, and implement maintainable solutions with minimal supervision.
