Job summary

Protingent is seeking a Full Stack Engineer, AI Systems for a fully remote role. Build product layers that turn AI capabilities into production-grade workflows, spanning frontend, backend, and AI integrations.

Collaborate with ML, backend, and product teams to ship features end-to-end, design agent workflows, and optimize latency, observability, and reliability.

Must-have expertise with Next.js, Python, Node.js, PyTorch, OpenAI/Anthropic LLMs, plus SQL/noSQL, Kubernetes, and Docker.

Qualifications

• Experience building full-stack features across frontend and backend.
• Strong understanding of scalable API architectures.
• Hands-on with LLMs, RAG, or AI-powered applications.
• Ability to own features from idea to production.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end product features across frontend, backend, and AI integrations.
• Design agent workflows for multi-step planning, tool use, failure, and recovery.
• Integrate LLMs, memory, and external tools for reliable real-world behavior.
• Design real-time AI interactions with streaming and low latency.
• Improve system reliability, observability, and fallback mechanisms.
• Collaborate with ML, backend, and product teams to ship features end-to-end.
• Iterate based on real usage and failures.
• Own AI-native features extending beyond chat into persistent workflows.
• Deploy agent workflows that complete multi-step tasks across tools and sessions.
• Reduce latency while maintaining output quality.
• Improve failure handling for LLMs and tools in production.
• Establish patterns for integrating LLMs, memory, and tools into scalable products.
• Contribute to a proactive, consistent AI experience over time.
