Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a fully remote Maintenance and Repair Technician for our Fuels Program, based in Collinsville, IL. The role involves mechanical fueling system maintenance, repairs, and field support for commercial and federal clients across the U.S. and possibly overseas.

Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical background; military fueling system experience is desirable. Travel up to ~75% nationwide, with anticipated DOT and CAC requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret scopes of work, drawings, and specs.
• OSHA Construction Safety certifications and/or API/STI/ICC certifications are desirable.
• Basic hand/power tool use and mechanical/electrical understanding are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and monitor field work to meet project timelines.
• Lead on-site meetings with clients and subcontractors as required.
• Coordinate with clients and government representatives as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems impacting repairs and maintenance of fueling systems.
• Perform periodic maintenance and minor repairs on petroleum handling systems.
• Adhere to internal procedures, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Pursue ongoing development and maintain professional discipline.
• Operate safely and report health and safety concerns.
• Take on additional duties as required.
