Job summary

The Jackson Laboratory is seeking a Software Developer, Front End Web Development, to translate digital designs into production-ready web assets that work across devices and browsers. You will implement complex interactivity on Sitecore, apply CSS/HTML/JavaScript expertise, and ensure accessibility and performance in a fast-paced biomedical research environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1 year of software engineering/development experience in an Agile team.
• Experience building HTML5/CSS/JavaScript interfaces for high-volume production environments.
• Experience with CMS platforms (Sitecore, Contentstack) and version control (Git).
• Ability to deliver responsive, production-ready interfaces and comply with accessibility guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify and optimize front-end software to translate designs into production-ready web assets.
• Collaborate with UX designers and internal clients to define technical needs and improve user experience.
• Code complex interactivity on top of the Sitecore platform and related tooling; analyze and fix issues.
• Support deployment readiness and maintain high-quality, scalable web components across devices.
