Job summary

The Jackson Laboratory seeks a Software Developer, Front End Web Development, to design, build, and maintain scalable web components. You will translate designs into production-ready HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, ensure cross-browser compatibility, and collaborate with UX designers to improve user experience across JAX properties.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Digital Product, you will work in a fast-paced marketing/communications environment, applying best practices for accessibility,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
1 year of software engineering or development experience working in an Agile team.
Experience building HTML5, CSS, JavaScript in high-volume production environments.
Experience with CMS platforms (Sitecore/Contentstack), Git, and agile ticketing systems.

Responsibilities

Develop, create, and modify software solutions within specification and performance criteria to optimize operational efficiency.
Translate digital designs into production-ready web assets that work across devices and browsers.
Review and modify complex interactivity on the Sitecore platform and implement reusable components.
