Job summary

Dunkin' is assembling a bench of contract web developers for client projects. This front-end focused role builds interfaces for websites and web apps, consumes REST APIs, and uses PHP with WordPress contexts.

Work is project-by-project and fully remote (U.S.). You will invoice on an hourly basis, with rates typically aligned to experience, and you control your schedule while delivering quality code for real clients.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years of professional web development experience
• Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs
• Working knowledge of SQL (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
• PHP. WordPress experience is common in client work.
• Familiar with version control using Git
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Clear written communication and asynchronous collaboration
• Availability for occasional calls during Eastern business hours
• A portfolio and a GitHub account we can review. Formal degree not required.

Responsibilities

• Integrate front ends with RESTful APIs, databases, and third-party services.
• Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins, and work inside existing client sites.
• Contribute to single-page web applications from scope through launch.
• Write and tune SQL queries, and work in PHP against an existing back end.
• Maintain and improve sites in production—diagnose issues, fix bugs, and improve speed.
• Write, test, and maintain high-quality code across multiple projects.
• Review every line you ship, including AI-assisted code, for quality and security.
• Collaborate with account management, design, and leadership to deliver client work.
• Test before deployment and follow current standards and best practices.
• Create and maintain clear technical documentation for systems built and touched.
• Work from written scopes and flag scope changes early.
