Job summary

A growth-oriented energy company located in Newcastle, Washington, is seeking an Optimization Planning Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating operating plans for refinery operations and optimizing economic viability. You will work closely with refinery leadership, perform economic analyses, and manage inventory. If you have a strong background in oil refining and excellent Excel skills, we encourage you to apply.

Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States.
• Minimum 3 years of oil refining experience in Process Engineering and/or Operations.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Planning and Economics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create refinery-wide operating plans that are safe and economically optimized.
• Run Linear Program weekly to select crudes for purchase.
• Prepare refinery inventory stewardship and share with accounting.

Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Experience in oil refining

Ability to handle multiple tasks

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
