Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required.
• 3+ years of experience in refinery optimization, planning or scheduling required.
• 6+ years total experience in refinery or process industry required.
• Demonstrated strong written/verbal communication and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages the team responsible for optimization of tasks like feedstock evaluations, operating plans, refinery operations, and product marketing and distribution.
• Develops and communicates weekly, quarterly, and annual reports for senior leadership action and review.
• Regularly communicates plans and drives alignment across multiple departments.
• Identifies and implements technologies to improve profitability.
• Mentor and develop optimization capabilities within team.
• Collaborates with leadership in major projects, crude supply, products, operations and finance to evaluate opportunities.
• Coordinates and maintains optimization models and software tools.
