Job summary

Stripe is seeking a qualified fraud analyst to join the Risk Operations team. You will write and maintain fraud rulesets, perform advanced data analysis, and work with product, engineering, data science, and operations to mitigate risk for Stripe users.

You should have five years of experience in data analysis within ecommerce/payments, strong SQL skills, and familiarity with data visualization tools like Splunk, Python, and Tableau. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with modeling, data science, and intelligence stakeholders.
• Experience creating data visuals and dashboards for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain fraud rulesets to prevent transaction-level fraud losses.
• Conduct advanced data analysis of structured/unstructured data to identify emerging fraud attacks.
• Collaborate with product, risk, and operations to mitigate fraud exposure.
• Investigate root causes and deploy remediations to prevent future attacks.
• Respond to incidents involving complex fraud schemes to mitigate exposure.
• Create visualizations, dashboards, and queries to drive visibility into impact and risk.
• Utilize Stripe tools to enable actioning of fraudulent merchants with high accuracy.
