Job summary

Stripe is seeking an experienced fraud analyst to join a global fraud operations team. You will write and maintain fraud rulesets, conduct advanced data analysis using SQL, and collaborate with product, risk, and operations to reduce fraud while protecting users.

This role requires deep understanding of fraud typologies, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate insights into scalable controls across e-commerce and payments domains.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience conducting advanced data analysis and managing transaction fraud rulesets.
• Strong SQL proficiency is required.
• Experience creating data visuals and dashboards for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate with product, risk, and operations teams to implement risk controls.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain fraud rulesets to prevent transaction-level fraud and monitor precision/recall.
• Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify emerging fraud attacks.
• Collaborate with product, risk, and operations to mitigate fraud exposure.
• Investigate root causes and deploy remediations for complex fraud attacks.
• Respond to incidents involving sophisticated fraud schemes to minimize exposure.
