How To MANAGE a Small Law Firm (HTM) seeks a Fractional CFO to partner with owner-managed law firms, providing strategic financial leadership across a portfolio of approximately 30 growing firms. This full-time W-2 executive role is 100% remote in the United States, with base salary plus performance incentives.

The role requires hands-on collaboration with owners on pricing, margins, cash flow, and growth, plus building forecasts, dashboards, and KPIs that translate numbers into actionable

Qualifications

• 10+ years as a CFO advising small to mid-sized owner-led businesses ($1M–$35M+ revenue)
• Direct, hands-on experience working with business owners to improve pricing, margins, cash flow, and profitability
• Experience managing multiple owner relationships across a portfolio of clients (CFO/Fractional CFO/Outsourced CFO)

Responsibilities

• Serve as the direct financial partner and advisor to owners across ~30 client businesses
• Review financial statements to identify profitability drivers and levers
• Build forecasts, budgets, cash-flow strategies, and KPI dashboards used by owners
• Collaborate with owners on pricing decisions, margin improvement, and strategic investments
• Partner with owners on growth decisions and accountability to goals
• Help clients become more financially disciplined and proactive
