Job summary

Delfina, a maternal health tech company, seeks a Fractional CFO to own our financial strategy as we scale and prepare for the next growth phase.

You will be a hands-on partner to the CEO, a trusted voice with the board and investors, translating impact into a durable financial model.

Responsibilities include fundraising, planning and reporting, building the finance function, and shaping payer contract economics to support mission-driven growth while advancing health equity for families.

Qualifications

• CFO or VP Finance experience in seed–Series C digital health companies.
• Hands-on experience with payers and health plans, Medicaid managed care or risk contracts.
• Track record in supporting a successful priced equity round (Series A+).
• Board-level presence with investors and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising and investor relations: build the financial model, data room, and diligence responses.
• Own planning and reporting: annual budget, rolling forecasts, cash runway, and monthly board-ready reporting.
• Build the finance function: oversee accounting, close, audit readiness, tax, and outside providers.
• Strengthen unit economics: cost-to-serve, gross margin, and contract profitability by partner and program.
• Manage risk and compliance: controls, grant and public-contract financial requirements, insurance, and vendor contracts.
• Shape payer contract economics: model pricing, value-based/risk arrangements with health plans.
• Advise the leadership team: bring financial clarity to hiring, pricing, and market expansion decisions.
