Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology and licensed in Florida.
• Ability to obtain additional state licenses.
• 3+ years post-licensure experience.
• Experience with insurance authorizations, claims, peer reviews.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, TEAMS, Excel, Access).
• Strong prioritization and ability to manage multiple state nuances.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
• Permanent Florida residence and secure home office setup.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical reviews including service authorization requests when initial review cannot authorize coverage.
• Review ongoing outpatient care when length of stay or visit frequency exceed normative standards.
• Handle requests for non-standard outpatient services (ABA, PSR, in-network accommodations).
• Process appeals of previously denied services.
• Participate in consultations, staff meetings, trainings; compose and enter clinical determinations in compliance with federal/state/local requirements.
