Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking a Floor Plan Auditor-Senior to conduct on-site inspections of floor planned collateral at dealerships and reconcile field audits. You will examine inventory, sales documentation, and records, escalating irregularities to Huntington management as needed.

The role requires travel, strong communication with dealership and internal teams, and the ability to work independently while supporting larger exams with our internal audit group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Auto Finance or Audit.

The auditor will work with dealership personnel to ensure that audits are completed in compliance with Huntington’s procedures through the examination of the dealership’s inventory, sales documentation, and records for unaccounted inventory. The auditor is responsible for escalating any audit irregularities to Huntington management immediately.

While conducting on-site physical inspections of floor planned collateral at dealerships, The Floor Plan Auditor-Senior is responsible for the reconciliation of the assigned field audit. The auditor will work with dealership personnel to ensure that audits are completed in compliance with Huntington’s procedures through the examination of the dealership’s inventory, sales documentation, and records for unaccounted inventory. The auditor is responsible for escalating any audit irregularities to Huntington management immediately.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Uses a thorough knowledge of audit procedures to conduct on-site audits.
• Performs/leads more difficult audits requiring multiple auditors and takeover audits for new clients.
• Conducts a physical inspection of inventory and compiles and verifies the accuracy of floor plan data and titles.
• Reports final audit results and any noncompliance and/or problem situations to management.
• Identifies and reports any additional dealer news or issues to appropriate portfolio/credit management.
• Extensive travel is common, including overnight travel. The auditor will be responsible for travel arrangements, expense reporting, and time tracking.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely as they will be working closely with the dealership office and sales management teams.
• Working with our internal audit team on larger and more complex exams is common, however, the auditor must demonstrate an ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Auto Finance or Audit

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with tablet-based, auditing software and equipment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills required
• Experience with auto dealer operations
