Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems is seeking an Embedded Flight Software Engineer to design and implement software for embedded RTOS in Palo Alto, CA, San Jose, CA or Houston, TX, with remote work options in the US.

The role requires strong C++ development experience, exposure to flight software architectures, and ability to participate in software life cycle management and verification activities. Competitive salary and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; four additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
• Embedded C++ programming experience.
• Basic understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development life cycle.
• Experience with Gitlab or similar.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software for embedded RTOS.
• Develop, document, and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for flight software systems.
• Develop software verification plans, unit level and open loop test suites, and procedures, executing test procedures and documenting results.
• Perform software product life cycle management.
• Develop, select, tailor, and deploy software processes, tools, and metrics.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for software domains, processes, and system-specific issues.
