Job summary

Kizuki International LLC is seeking a Restaurant Controller to oversee all financial operations for the restaurant group, including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, budgeting, and financial planning. You will ensure GAAP compliance and provide actionable insights to guide cost controls and strategic decisions.

This role offers remote initially with a transition to in-office work, supporting multiple concepts across states.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, preferably in restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Strong understanding of restaurant P&L statements and cost controls.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage confidential financial information.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and applicable financial regulations.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Maintain internal controls and improve accounting procedures.
• Coordinate audits with external auditors and tax professionals.
• Analyze financial performance and provide insights to leadership.
• Support cash flow management and financial decision-making.
• Analyze financial trends and provide recommendations to ownership/leadership.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Perform in-depth financial analysis of expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff (if applicable).
