Engineering-Economics, Inc. (EEI) is seeking a Mechanical Specialist for its Mission Critical team. The role focuses on commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and verification of mechanical systems in data centers and high-reliability facilities.

You will own field activities, support functional testing, and help move systems through startup, testing, and closeout. This hands-on role requires reading drawings, collaborating with project teams, and delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in mechanical systems or related technical environment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, sequences of operation, and submittals.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time.
• Experience with HVAC, chilled water, cooling towers, pumps, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning, testing, and verification of mechanical systems for mission-critical facilities.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues with project teams and stakeholders.
• Coordinate field activities, testing, and project documentation for successful delivery.
• Review drawings and sequences to validate installation readiness.
• Communicate status and findings with clients and internal teams.
• Mentor developing commissioning professionals through field collaboration.
