Job summary

Engineering-Economics,-Inc. (EEI) seeks a Sr. Mechanical Specialist to lead commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation for mechanical systems in data centers and other high-reliability facilities.

You will guide field execution, mentor teams, and partner with clients and contractors to deliver reliable outcomes. The role requires 6+ years in mechanical systems/commissioning, strong HVAC knowledge, and the ability to read drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in mechanical systems and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, cooling infrastructure.
  • Ability to read drawings, specs, sequences, and operation docs.
  • Advanced understanding of MEP systems and building operations.
  • Ability to lead commissioning activities and guide field execution.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex commissioning, testing, and verification for mechanical systems in mission-critical facilities.
  • Guide field execution, testing, startup support, and closeout activities for mechanical scopes.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and drive resolution with project teams and vendors.
  • Review drawings, specs, and test results to evaluate readiness and performance.
  • Communicate commissioning status, risks, and findings with clients and teams.
  • Mentor Mechanical Specialists and support personnel through field coaching.
  • Contribute to safe, reliable project delivery in fast-paced environments.
