Job summary

EEI is seeking an Electrical Specialist for our Mission Critical team to independently commission, test, and verify electrical building systems in the field, including power distribution, lighting, wiring, and controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in electrical systems, facilities operations, commissioning, construction, engineering, maintenance, building operations, military electrical work, or related technical environment.
• Knowledge of power distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, PDUs, controls used in mission-critical facilities.
• Understanding of MEP systems and building operations.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, sequences of operation, submittals, and system information.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with project teams.
• Strong organizational, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and commissioning documentation tools.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning testing and verification activities for electrical systems supporting mission-critical facilities and data centers.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems across full-load, no-load, and failure conditions and coordinate resolutions with project teams.
• Produce clear commissioning documentation per project requirements and client deliverables.
• Verify installations against design specs, standards, and regulatory requirements for safe operation.
• Serve as the on-site technical contact, communicating status and findings to clients and contractors.
• Contribute to safe, reliable project execution in a fast-paced mission-critical environment.
