Superhuman is hiring backend engineers for the Mail team to build the AI-powered calendar, scheduling, and workflows backend. You’ll work on real-time data pipelines, scalable APIs, and infra to support AI features across desktop, web, and mobile.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in back-end development with strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Experience building, deploying, and debugging production systems at scale.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure).
• Comfort working with AI-powered systems — building infra for LLM-based features and ML pipelines; backend services for AI products is a plus.
• Fluency with AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) and a view on impact on software development.
• Experience with real-time systems, event-driven architectures, or high-throughput API design is a plus.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
• Strong product instincts and ability to balance speed with reliability.

Responsabilidades

• Build and operate high-throughput production services powering AI agent orchestration, integrations, and real-time data pipelines.
• Design and build core platform services — schedulers, session/history, client-server protocols, and APIs connecting AI engine to product surfaces.
• Work across Go, Mail, Docs, Enterprise as best fit for the team and project.
• Collaborate closely with ML/AI, Product, and Front-End engineers to ship AI-powered features end to end.
• Build and evolve infrastructure as code for high availability for consumer and enterprise customers.
• Contribute to a culture emphasizing documentation, testing, and reliability.
• Mentor and grow junior engineers on the team.
