Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a senior engineering leader to head the AI Foundations group, responsible for hiring, technical direction, prioritization and delivery of shared AI services. You will build and scale the platform that powers secure, cost-effective AI across teams.

You will partner with product and senior engineers to balance rapid model innovation with reliability and security, own vendor relationships, and drive governance and spend controls to ensure responsible AI at scale.

Qualifications

• Lead AI Foundations engineering, with responsibility for hiring, coaching, technical direction, prioritization, and delivery across its shared AI services.
• Partner with Product and senior engineers to balance rapid model and agent innovation with reliability, security, developer experience, and cost.
• Own engineering-side vendor relationships and operational readiness, and partner with Security, Legal, and Finance on AI governance and spend controls.
• Grow the next rung of leadership on AI Foundations.
