Job summary

Snowflake is seeking an Applied Scientist for FinOps Intelligence to translate platform telemetry into actionable insights for customers. You will build analytical models, benchmarking frameworks, and cohort analyses to communicate business value at scale.

You will partner with Account Executives, Solution Engineers, and Customer Success Managers to embed FinOps benchmarking into the customer lifecycle, shaping product priorities and field positioning.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics, or CS.
• 5+ years in applied data science or value engineering.
• Expert SQL with multi-join queries across billions of rows.
• Strong Python for modeling and ML.
• Experience with unsupervised ML (clustering, PCA/UMAP).
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain peer benchmarking models using platform usage signals.
• Construct peer groups using unsupervised ML on account features.
• Engineer a benchmarking feature store with Snowpark and dbt.
• Apply statistics to handle skewed distributions and outliers.
• Package benchmarking outputs into repeatable advisory assets for field teams.
• Collaborate with Account Executives, Solution Engineers, and Customer Success Managers.
• Align insights with Product, FinOps, and Sales Strategy.
