Job summary

Near is a platform connecting top finance talent with remote opportunities at U.S.-based companies. We are seeking a Finance Expert who can build and review complex financial models from scratch and deliver robust, defensible analysis for real-world decisions.

You will develop detailed schedules for revenue, costs, working capital, debt, and valuation, transform incomplete data into coherent financial logic, and defend your modeling choices in a distributed team.

Qualifications

• 2 to 8+ years of finance experience in IB, Credit, FP&A, or private equity.
• Expertise in building complex models from scratch.
• Strong cash flow, valuation, leverage, and liquidity knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Build financial models from scratch across complex use cases.
• Review and improve models created by others.
• Create realistic finance scenarios, assumptions, and supporting materials.
• Build detailed schedules for revenue, costs, working capital, capex, debt, covenants, valuation, and scenario analysis.
• Turn messy data into clear, defensible financial logic.
• Identify weak assumptions and missing schedules in existing models.
• Explain modeling choices and defend the rationale.
