Job summary

Cognitive Credit is a fast-growing fintech credit data provider serving major banks, asset managers, and hedge funds in the US. The Financial Credit Analyst role is based in the United States and focuses on building the US credit data set, reporting to the Head of US Data in New York.

We seek analytical finance professionals with an accounting background, strong Excel skills, and a passion for technology to automate tasks and ensure data quality in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Accounting/finance qualifications such as CPA or CFA preferred from a Big 4 accounting firm
• US GAAP experience is essential; IFRS experience is useful
• Strong analytical ability with attention to detail and data integrity
• Good Excel knowledge plus experience with data management
• Fluent in English and eligible to work in the US

Responsibilities

• Grow data by processing financial reports using the company’s proprietary data extraction system
• Analyze resulting output for accuracy and completeness using internal audit tools
• Monitor coverage universe to support live data updates during earnings season
• Interact with clients to answer questions about data and product functionality; support sales and account management
• Discuss product priorities and strategic objectives with a management team experienced in buy-side/sell-side credit
• Collaborate with engineering to review system performance and identify improvement opportunities
