Cherokee Federal is seeking an Intermediate Financial Analyst to support U.S. Coast Guard FMS/EDA programs remotely. You will manage financial execution, reconciliations, and reporting under the Contractor Project Manager and Government COR, using DoD systems and compliance guidance.

The role includes case file maintenance, weekly reconciliations, and participation in FMS reviews. Requires five years of USCG/DoD budgeting experience and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting required.
• Five years of budgeting, formulation, and execution experience in USCG or DoD.
• FMS USCG or DoD case-level financial and business operations experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Support CG-DCS-2 routine FMS case financial management across the case life cycle, coordinating with Case Managers/Financial Managers to meet milestones.
• Perform financial execution support: record obligational authority, liquidated obligations, analyze/reconcile current and prior-year accounts using CAS/FSMS and MISIL.
• Prepare Case Directions in SCIP to request MIPRs for FMS cases and route MIPR acceptances for government review in FSMS.
• Provide weekly reconciliation support by researching and reconciling obligations with internal stakeholders (e.g., CG-8/CG-9/FINCEN) using FSMS.
• Assist with formal FMS Financial Management Reviews and related DoD/DSCA/NIPO documentation.
• Maintain/update ACRN Breakdown and MIPR/Expenditure reports and verify RSNs/ACRN line items to resolve unbilled expenditures; support CFO Web PCT certification.
• Provide program office administrative support: correspondence, meeting notes, trackers, metrics reports, electronic archiving, and manpower data entry.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
