Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking a Finance Expert to evaluate AI-built financial analyses on real corporate scenarios, check valuation assumptions, and explain the accounting behind them. You’ll promote defensible finance work and teach models what solid analysis looks like.

You will stress-test three-statement models, trace logic to expose misaligned drivers, and craft clear, CFO-ready judgments. Remote, flexible project-based opportunities across clients and industries.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or strategic finance.
• Fluency with modeling: three-statement builds, DCF, and the accounting behind them.
• Clear written English demonstrated in explanations.

Models can build a three-statement model that looks clean and still get the mechanics wrong: a balance sheet that doesn't balance, working capital that flows the wrong way, a circular reference silently zeroed out. Someone has to trace the numbers back through the logic, and that someone is you.

As a Finance Expert you'll evaluate AI-built financial analyses on real corporate scenarios, check the valuation assumptions and the accounting behind them, and write the judgments that teach models what defensible finance work looks like.

What you’ll actually do

• Stress-test AI-built models on real corporate scenarios: three-statement linkages, DCF assumptions, and the working-capital logic underneath.
• Trace the reasoning to expose plugged numbers, broken drivers, and conclusions the model's own math doesn't support.
• Write the defensible analysis when the model falls short: honest assumptions, clear drivers, and a number you'd put in front of a CFO.
