Clear Creek County is seeking an experienced public sector finance leader to serve as Finance Director, remotely from anywhere in Colorado. You will guide financial strategy, budgeting, fund accounting, reporting, and long-range planning, partnering with County leadership to deliver strong fiscal stewardship.

The role emphasizes governance, compliance, and stakeholder communication while offering a 4-day workweek option in Colorado’s mountain community.

Qualifikationen

• BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited college or university.
• Current CPA license or ability to acquire within 1 year of hire.
• CPFO license or ability to acquire within 1 year of hire.
• Five years of professional experience in finance/accounting with government expertise preferred.
• Experience in county governmental accounting principles and supervisory roles.

Aufgaben

• Provide leadership and direction on financial and related components of the organization.
• Be an active member of the County Leadership Team.
• Prepare the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).
• Ensure annual Federal Single Audit and state annual Independent Audit are completed.
• Develop and implement the Finance Department's annual work plan.
• Supervise the Finance Department staff and processes (receipts, vouchers, expenditures).
• Ensure financial policy compliance and accurate financial reporting.
