Job summary

The Standard is offering an internship in its Corporate Finance and Accounting department. The role focuses on applying classroom knowledge to real-world finance tasks, gaining experience in financial close, reporting, policy research, and model review, all within a fully remote environment.

Successful applicants are full-time students in Accounting/Finance (or related fields) with strong analytical skills, MS Office proficiency, and the potential to work with executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be enrolled as full-time students for the duration of the internship.
• Sponsorship is not available for this internship.
• Preferred majors in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong analytical skills as demonstrated by previous work experience or coursework.
• Experience with MSOffice suite including Excel, Teams, Outlook; AI tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with financial close and reporting & account reconciliations.
• Accounting policy research and process improvement projects including peer company analysis.
• Review and validation of analytical models.
• Updates to accounting memos to support key positions.
• Observation and meetings with executive leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.
