Job summary

CTOS - Trucks & Equipment is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to support customers in Baltimore, Hagerstown, and surrounding areas. You will diagnose and repair heavy equipment in the field, including bucket trucks and cranes, with a focus on safety and uptime.

The role requires a Class B CDL, strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with the CTOS Field Service team.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy equipment in the field (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical).
• Strong documentation, organizational and time-management skills.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Class B CDL required.
• Ability to travel within Baltimore, Hagerstown, and DC area, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment at customer sites.
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic repairs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections to maximize uptime.
• Road test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation and safety.
• Document repairs clearly and communicate updates to customers and teams.
• Manage service calls and operate a company-provided service truck.
• Collaborate with CTOS Field Service team to deliver excellent support.
