Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $165,000.00/yr

Position Overview

This role focuses on delivering hands-on technical support for the setup and activation of advanced motor systems across the US. It involves frequent customer site visits to ensure smooth installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of smart motor technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the setup and commissioning of intelligent motor systems at customer locations.
  • Align rotating machinery using precision tools such as dial gauges or laser alignment systems.
  • Coach and guide field technicians on best practices for installing smart motor equipment.
  • Provide on-site diagnostics and startup assistance, documenting findings and recommendations in detailed reports.
  • Independently identify and resolve technical issues to prevent delays or equipment damage.
  • Diagnose and repair smart motor systems and related components.
  • Support the assembly and modification of motor units, including fabrication and repair tasks.
  • Collaborate with service and monitoring teams to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Coordinate field personnel for system installations and activations.
  • Monitor and interpret key performance indicators for motor systems to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Ensure all installation steps are completed and documented before project handoff.
  • Alert management to any shortages in tools or supplies to maintain readiness.
  • Keep tools and equipment in good working order and report any maintenance needs.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by following and encouraging adherence to safety protocols.
  • Uphold organizational values and contribute to a respectful, team-oriented work environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical certification in electrical or electronic systems is a plus.
  • A restricted electrical license or equivalent experience (5+ years) is desirable.
  • Strong background in electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, including schematics and P&IDs.
  • Familiarity with motor control systems and industrial process controls.
  • At least five years of hands-on experience with various motor technologies.
  • Experience in reliability and preventative maintenance is advantageous.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to continue learning and growing professionally.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of quality assurance practices.
  • Commitment to modern safety standards and practices.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to travel frequently in support of business operations.
