Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Project Field Quality Control Engineer assigned to the Construction organization for the Natrium project. You will manage the quality control engineering staff on site, ensuring adherence to contract requirements, industry standards, and project specifications.

You will develop and implement QC procedures, supervise nonconforming item processes, and coordinate with other construction teams to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10–13 years of relevant experience, or 14–17 years of relevant work experience.
• Must have direct hire execution experience on projects of $300M or greater.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required, including education verification.
• Must obtain a site security badge and be physically able to inspect on a construction site.

Responsibilities

• Directs activities of a multi-disciplined construction quality control organization overseeing QC engineering staff.
• Guides QA programs and interfaces with construction departments to ensure compliance with standards and project specs.
• Performs inspections and documents acceptance of construction activities.
• Develops staffing plan for the QC organization and prepares requisitions.
• Administers the QC certification and training program for inspection personnel.
• Oversees subcontractor surveillance to ensure conformity to project specs and standards.
