Job summary

Takeda is seeking a Director, Field Medical - Gastroenterology (West) to lead and coach a team of MSLs, driving external scientific engagement with KOLs and HCPs in line with US Medical priorities.

You will provide leadership, manage budget and plans, and ensure compliant, data-driven engagement using digital tools to elevate team performance.

Location options include CA, CO, AZ or WA with 40–60% travel to support field activities.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree preferred; Master’s degree minimum.
• Experience in Medical Affairs and pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven leadership and mentoring of teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of MSLs to drive external scientific engagement.
• Oversee development and execution of annual team tactical plan.
• Ensure compliance with policies and SOPs; manage budget.
• Develop relationships with KOLs, HCPs, and cross‑functional partners.
• Leverage digital tools to enhance productivity and engagement.
