Job summary

The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is seeking a detail-oriented, part-time Field Enumerator. This remote role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work from home while supporting data collection for farmers and agricultural businesses.

Qualifications

• Experience multitasking in a deadline-oriented work environment.
• Ability to positively represent NASDA and the benefits of enumerators in all survey actions.
• Ability to make crop counts in designated fields.
• Ability to maintain a reliable personal vehicle.
• Ability to conduct interviews in person or by telephone with farm operators and other individuals.
• Technical experience with both computers or iPads.
• Ability to manage Outlook email & respond timely.
• Preferred qualifications: experience or knowledge in agriculture.

Responsibilities

• Interview farmers, ranchers, and agricultural businesses by phone or in person.
• Travel to designated fields to perform crop counts.
• Maintain and deliver detailed records of interviews, crop counts, mileage, expenditures, and hours worked.
• Work from a residence with an operable telephone and use a personal vehicle for field interviews.
