Job summary

Maximus is offering a Summer 2027 Internship in Business Development - Federal Civilian Growth. The role is remote with a requirement to be near McLean, VA for collaboration, and involves 40 hours per week over a 10-week program starting June 1, 2027.

The intern will conduct market research, support business analysis, and assist with special projects, leveraging Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office tools while gaining exposure to government processes and organizational structures.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a college degree in a related field.
• Must have completed a minimum 2 years of coursework.
• Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
• Skilled in Outlook and MS Office Suite, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct business analysis to support the Business Development department.
• Support process improvements and project deliverables.
• Research potential market trends.
• Assist in special projects in the Business Development department.
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting and other tasks.
• Attend meetings to record essential information and assist in composing debriefs.
• Support staff with ad hoc research and analysis.
