Job summary

Hemmat Law Group is seeking a Washington-licensed attorney to join our growing family law litigation team in a remote role. This opportunity welcomes attorneys in WA, OR, or CA to build a meaningful career with mentorship and robust support.

You will handle sophisticated family law matters, including divorces, custody disputes, and relocations, while benefiting from a flexible remote setup and access to a collaborative, experienced team.

Qualifications

• Active Washington State Bar license in good standing.
• Residence in Washington, Oregon, or California with ability to work remotely.
• Family law experience strongly preferred.
• Attorneys with other litigation backgrounds may be considered for a long-term family law career.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned family law caseload through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and oversee litigation in Washington, primarily in King, Snohomish, and Pierce Counties.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, depositions, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Draft pleadings, motions, declarations, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide practical legal advice to clients.
• Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to move matters forward efficiently.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and team members.
• Exercise sound judgment in complex and time-sensitive situations.
• Meet established productivity expectations, including six billable hours per business day.
• Manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining exceptional client service.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment through mentorship and knowledge sharing.
