Job summary

A & E Factory is seeking a Facilities Engineer Staff to manage and improve mechanical systems across the campus. You will lead reliability initiatives, oversee contractor work, and collaborate with engineering to implement upgrades and new installations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 7+ years of related experience in facilities and manufacturing infrastructure. On-site leadership and field assessments are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience maintaining facilities/office/grounds supporting manufacturing infrastructure.
• Experience with large and small facility renovations/projects.
• Ability to read and execute engineering drawings and specs.
• Experience managing contractors and vendors on projects.
• Proficient in MS Office programs including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project.

Responsibilities

• Own framework examination and execution for upkeep and related environmental control components (HVAC, chillers, boilers).
• Coordinate with engineering on new installations and equipment moves.
• Collaborate with maintenance on preventive and predictive upkeep.
• Support reliability team in root-cause analysis for mechanical failures.
• Conduct field reviews of mechanical equipment for compliance.
• Provide input on mechanical specifications for HVAC gear after maintenance feedback.
• Oversee equipment commissioning and ensure proper tagging and reporting.
• Lead cross-functional teams through design review phases of projects.
