Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking an External Communications Specialist to shape the company’s external voice through strategic storytelling, media relations, and thought leadership.

The role merges storytelling with outreach to elevate SOLV Energy’s projects and leadership across the industry. The position supports executive visibility, prepares messaging and speaking materials, and collaborates with Marketing, Operations, and Business Development to align communications with company priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field.
• Five (5) or more years of experience in communications, public relations, journalism, content marketing, media relations, or a related discipline.
• Translate technical information into clear, compelling external content.

Responsibilities

• Draft and coordinate external communications materials, including press releases, media advisories, fact sheets, talking points, and briefing documents.
• Support media outreach efforts, interview preparation, and relationship-building with industry media and other external stakeholders.
• Monitor industry developments and identify opportunities to increase visibility for SOLV Energy, its projects, and its leaders.
• Proactively identify, develop, and create content that highlights SOLV Energy's people, projects, innovations, partnerships, and industry expertise.
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal subject matter experts, project teams, and business leaders to surface emerging stories and opportunities.
• Conduct research and interviews to gather information and develop compelling communications content.
• Develop content including thought leadership articles, project spotlights, and LinkedIn content.
• Translate technical information into clear, compelling external content.
• Contribute ideas that support long-term storytelling and business objectives.
• Monitor industry, competitor, and company news and prepare regular reports on trends and reputational considerations.
• Support executive visibility and thought leadership through research, messaging, speaking materials, and events.
• Lead content planning and performance tracking for SOLV Energy’s LinkedIn presence.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to amplify announcements and milestones.
