Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a communications professional to develop and execute external communications strategies. You will work remotely with some onsite hours, supporting reputation and media outreach while crafting content for various channels.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in communications or related field and 3+ years of experience in communications or marketing, with ability to lead campaigns and collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, advertising or related field.
• 3+ years in communications, marketing or related area.
• Ability to develop communications strategies and present to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of measurable proactive and reactive external communications tactics and execute with the team.
• Support leadership in identifying opportunities for recognition and positioning Advocate Health as a national voice.
• Collaborate on communications plans that align with business goals and protect brand reputation.
• Track trends and provide executive briefs on media risks and opportunities.
• Draft content such as news releases, blogs, talking points, and thought leadership pieces.
• Cultivate relationships with trade reporters and local/national media for earned coverage.
• Monitor media coverage and summarize findings for senior leaders.
• Work cross-functionally to influence audiences and promote Advocate Health brands.
