Job summary

Magone & Company, P.C. is seeking an External Audit & Assurance Associate to support audits, reviews, and related engagements, working with Managers and Partners and growing toward Senior Associate.

This early-career role offers hands-on client exposure, training, and regular coaching, with a hybrid schedule (three days in-office or at client sites and two days remote). CPA eligibility is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 1–2 years of public accounting external audit experience preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and audit procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engagement planning, testing, and financial statement audits.
• Prepare workpapers and test accounts for cash, receivables, payables, revenue, expenses, and fixed assets.
• Collaborate with client accounting teams to obtain necessary information and resolve issues.
