Job summary

OU Health is seeking an Experienced Professional Coding Specialist to independently perform complex professional coding across multiple specialties in a fully remote setting. You will ensure correct coding with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS, apply payer policies, and support compliant reimbursement and audit readiness.

The role requires at least 3 years of physician/provider coding experience, CPC or CCS-P certification, and familiarity with Epic work queues and encoder tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CPC/CCS-P certification preferred.
• At least 3 years of physician/provider coding experience.
• Advanced coding knowledge across multiple specialties and payer policies.

Responsibilities

• Code complex professional encounters and procedures with proper sequencing and modifiers.
• Interpret payer policies, apply global service rules, and support rebilling when needed.
• Provide guidance to peers and participate in quality review programs.
• Utilize Epic work queues and encoder tools to review documentation across settings.
