Job summary

League One Volleyball (LOVB) is seeking an Event Manager, Events & Operations for the Pro League. This full-time seasonal role is remote (based in Minnesota) with occasional travel to site visits and events.

The position reports to the Senior Manager, Events & Operations and supervises staff and volunteers to ensure successful game-day operations. The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of events management experience in sports, facilities operations know-how, and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and collaborate with distributed remote team.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 4–6 years events management experience for sports events.
• Experience in facilities operations and knowledge of volleyball is preferred.
• Supervisory experience of game day staff, volunteers, or other roles.

Responsibilities

• Own all areas of event execution; act as Facility Administrator for competitions at facilities.
• Recruitment/onboarding of contracted personnel (equipment manager, technicians, security, etc.).
• Develop venue-specific SOPs and playbooks for game day operations and logistics.
• Provide detailed facility information to external partners to meet activations and production needs.
• Coordinate logistics of team areas, match day responsibilities, and staffing plans.
• Ensure event details are communicated to LOVB Central Staff and external partners.
