Job summary

EDvance College is seeking Adjunct Faculty for Spring 2027 to teach Early Childhood Studies across lower and upper division English Pathway and Spanish Biliterate Pathway. This remote, exempt temporary role reports to the Dean of Early Childhood Studies and requires evening teaching commitments.

Courses are delivered online via Canvas with live sessions 6:00 pm–9:00 pm Pacific Time on Tue–Thu, plus asynchronous activities.

Qualifications

Master's degree in ECE required.
Two years of teaching experience in higher education or coaching/mentoring required.
Five years in an ECE classroom if teaching ECE content or CORP class required.
If teaching Spanish pathway, must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
Commitment to creating an equitable and welcoming environment for learners and staff.
Experience with scaffolded course design and student support at college/university level.

Responsibilities

Deliver high‑quality online instruction and assessment of learning.
Connect course content to learners' daily work in early childhood settings.
Provide timely weekly feedback on assignments and assist learners in improving work.
Assess learner learning using rubrics and learning outcomes, and grade on schedule.
Use formative assessment to adjust instruction and support students who are struggling.
Align course content with California ECE Competencies, Learning Foundations, NAEYC standards, and DRDP/CLASS tools.
