Job summary

Optum, through its EHR Services, seeks an Epic HIM Analyst to manage integration teams and lead Epic HIM projects. The role emphasizes translating requirements into design specs, mentoring teams, and driving upgrades and workflow enhancements across client engagements.

Remote work is available nationwide within the U.S.; in Minneapolis or Washington, DC, in-office presence is required four days per week. Strong Epic knowledge and SME experience with HIM areas are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Active Epic certification in at least two Epic HIM areas (HIM Hospital Coding, Release of Information, and/or Identity).
• 4+ years of healthcare experience.
• 4+ years of client healthcare domain knowledge (e.g., patient flow, hospital coding, release of information).
• 4+ years of SME with Epic HIM areas and 3+ years of Epic experience; able to travel 10%.

Responsibilities

• Manage integration teams and lead Epic HIM projects.
• Translate user requirements into design specs and review with clients.
• Mentor and support local and client-based teams.
• Lead Epic software upgrade initiatives and workflow enhancements.
• Maintain documentation, issue escalation, and validation sessions.
• Provide on-site support during go-lives and upgrades.
